Welcome to our web-site.
The Linen Press is new, bold and inspiring. Run by women, for women, we publish writers with innovative voices who inspire readers with their wisdom, experience, distinctive style and beautifully crafted writing.
We welcome submissions from emergent writers, writers from minority groups and writers from outside the UK. We publish literary fiction and memoir as well as writing which does not fit comfortably in either genre. We fill the niche left by the big publishers who are busy with celebrities and block-busters but without their massive resources we have to be selective and discriminating in our choice of publishing projects. We only publish three or four books a year and do not publish poetry, children's books, romantic fiction or science fiction.
We are happy to receive submissions by post or by email as long as they fulfill the criteria and ethos of the Linen Press. Please read our submissions guidelines before sending in a proposal.
